The plot follows the adventures of Kirby. In this adventure, the rainbowns that connect the diverse islands of this land have been stolen by an evil known as Dark Matter, whom having possessed to the King Dedede it has as aim conquer Dream Land. Kirby proposes to face Dark Matter and to mess up his plans, possessing the help of three new friends: Rick, Coo and Kine.
